Dr. John R. Harry graduated with a B.S. degree in Kinesiology from California State University, Fullerton. He then earned an M.S. degree in Health and Sport Sciences from The University of Memphis and a Ph.D. degree in Kinesiology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Dr. Harry is also a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength & Conditioning Association.

Dr. Harry is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology & Sport Management at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX USA. In this role, he directs the Human Performance & Biomechanics Laboratory, a state-of-the-art research facility fully equipped for biophysical analyses of human performance.

Dr. Harry's work has been published in top-tier peer-reviewed research journals, such as Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise, Journal of Biomechanics, and the Journal of Sports Sciences. He has also been interviewed by commercial organizations such as SimpliFaster and IMeasureU.

Outside of the laboratory, Dr. Harry can be found watching any Star Wars movie or TV series, or reading a Star Wars book for the gazillionth time. If he's not doing that, he's probably playing the guitar at just the right volume to annoy his wife (see video).
